Recently there have been posts circulating asking for help for a young lady named Anyaa. You can read her most recent update here.
Basically what it breaks down to is this young woman is desperate for help and turning to the fandom for it. She has no parents, no job prospects, nothing but very little money in her bank account.
She mentions even trying to get a job in the adult film industry just to save herself from what would surely be nightly sexual harassment from drunks if she were forced to live on the street.
I don’t personally know Anyaa, however we have mutual friends. And those who do know her well do nothing but sing her praises.
The goal is to raise 2000 USD for her by July.
“So what the hell is ‘Fangirling for Anyaa’?”
I realize that some people are iffy about “giving” money away directly.
On Friday, I’ll be opening Handmade Fandom - an online shop full of things directly related to fandoms, Supernatural in particular.
For every sale I make during the month of June, half the profits will go directly to Anyaa.
Fandom, we’ve done more for less. We’ve made miracles happen. What’s one more?
tl dr; Buy some stuff, help keep a fellow fangirl safe in her home.
Also, I’ll be giving away a SPECIAL DISCOUNT CODE OF 25% OFF to 5 people who reblog this message to help us spread the word.
